Another week, another blast of arctic air, a day of low clouds, followed by some snow. This winter is getting too predictable – next week I’ll mix things up.
In this visual representation of the past month, we battle snow, rage indoors, and freak out squares on a beach.
Enjoy.

Every time it snows, my brothers and friends converge at my parents house in Media, PA. Our property there has quite a few hills and a nice long drive way that leads into another hill behind the house. From the time we were tiny lil kids, we’ve been setting up rudimentary ramps and hucking ourselves off them.
As time has passed, we have gotten bigger as have the jumps we build. We are now to the point where we’ve grown out of the driveway for speed, and this year we constructed a 6 foot high drop in ramp. This…

Anyone who lives in the NorthEast knows that sometimes winter sucks. I’ve spent the better half of the last two months dreading the next day. There is nothing in this world I hate more than the weather being 35-45 degrees, gray, and wet.
In order to kick the blues, my family and I made a last minute plan to go somewhere warm. With US airways flying direct Philadelphia to Barbados, the choice was clear. Bajan accents, Sugar Cane, Urchins, and Rum. It’s really amazing how much things can change with just 5 hours on a plane.

Slow week or two here, so only a few photos to share . Most of them are pretty cliche too, but hey, at least I shot something.
The next post is going to make up for this one, trust me.

Some more photos for you and me.
Seems like every day consists of bright orange winter sunsets or gray, drab, wet, and depressing days.
Here’s to heading into the worst 3 months of weather with a partly sunny attitude.

Spent this past weekend in NYC. Did some gallery hopping and found a painting that I thought would be pertinent to share here. The artist’s name is Eric Zener and he specializes in painting underwater themes. Anyone who has taken a clean up set on the head can relate to the imagery. Made my hands sweat just standing in front of it. In case you really love it, you can own it: only $28,000.
Shortest post yet. BOOM.

Part of the idea of this site is to keep our readers informed as to what is going on in our lives. In all reality, I feel like for the most part, I don’t really have all that much going on in my life on a week to week basis. But when I start to jot notes down, or really think about it, I actually end up doing so much that most of it gets forgotten about.
So I had an idea that kills like 3 or 4 birds with one stone. I will keep a “digital diary” of…

Keenan’s new post about Modern Collective really got me reflecting on the overall lack of really creative work coming from the surfing media. I’ve been following the progress of that film very closely as I thought it was a unique approach to film making, as well I was confident that the action and production would be insane.
These thoughts were also stirred up by a post on a blog I frequently read posted by an Art Buyer based in Canada. She has a ton of great stuff pertaining to commerical photography, but usually never anything pertaining to action or…

Flying sucks. Everyone knows it. Airports are over crowded, employees are underpaid, seats are cramped, and the whole industry is folding. However, as a traveling surfer/photographer flying is a necessary evil that I can not avoid if I want to travel to the far stretches of the Earth to catch rideable waves.
As every surfer/photographer knows, flying sucks worse for us than the average jet-setter. Ding repair kits are confiscated as bombs, fins are potential weapons, and home made water housings – don’t even talk to me about that. But far and away the worst part is the…

Halfway through our little journey down here. You’ve seen the backstory, and the injuries, now time for some actual surf photos.
