Every time it snows, my brothers and friends converge at my parents house in Media, PA. Our property there has quite a few hills and a nice long drive way that leads into another hill behind the house. From the time we were tiny lil kids, we’ve been setting up rudimentary ramps and hucking ourselves off them.
As time has passed, we have gotten bigger as have the jumps we build. We are now to the point where we’ve grown out of the driveway for speed, and this year we constructed a 6 foot high drop in ramp. This drop in ramp, or Rampton as its better known, allows us to pull backflips, big spins, and launches big enough to buckle our knees when landing.
Traditionally I end up shooting our backyard mayhem, and this past snow storm was no different. I went with the birds eye view of what was going down. It was the first time I tried this angle, and its not perfect, but gives a sense of what is going on. Its disorienting at times though, try not to puke.
