Today is the day! The entire grudge match contingent has waited all month to surf in the annual event that puts Jersey’s best surfers against each other, and despite the lack of an epic swell we have enough surf allowing everyone to let loose. All the boys are on the beach in their cars watching heats and getting gnarly. Meanwhile the Surfers Candy crew is here capturing all the activity for those of you who can’t be here to witness it yourself. Keep coming back today as we will be updating as much as we can… NOTE: You’ll manually…

Innersection videos are all the rage right now – and for good reason. Innersection.tv is Taylor Steele’s latest project that levels the playing feild for aspiring professional surfers by giving them an open platform to showcase their surfing skills for the world to see and then have the universe of internet democracy ultimately decide who rules and who doesn’t. Top pros and underground rip-shredder’s create video sections of themselves then submit them to Innersection.tv. Voting is open for a limited time on the videos and during that time each video segment’s goal is to amass as many votes as…

This video blew our minds over here at Surfers Candy. Check out the micro-men as they conquer their plastic surf world and get shacked better than most “real” humans ever will in their lifetime. Imagination and creativity are integral pieces for surfing and this video does a great job of using both. It’s pretty amazing that this surf video stoked us out over here – you’ll understand why we are amazed when you watch it. Enjoy.

Well, here we are. The second half of summer. It pains me to think how fast the days of great weather are running off towards the fall season, but I’m glad we still have several more good weeks left before mother nature leaves us cold again.
In hopes of keeping the summer fun alive Surfers Candy has decided to host a little scavenger hunt for all of our loyal readers. Ocean Minded (the best sandal company in the world by the way) has been extremely generous in sponsoring the hunt by hooking us up with a bunch of killer…

This video is for anyone that has ever lost their way or has lost touch with why they surf. Andy Irons has been in the professional surfing spotlight for over a decade and has had his ups and downs over the years. One year he’s the world champ; the next year he’s in rehab. It’s crazy to think how someone that has everything most people only dream about can experience such inner turmoil, but it just goes to show that material belongings don’t always bring happiness. In this case, and in many others, the simple act of surfing may…

The Billabong Pro in Tahiti is almost here. The gaping left reef is scheduled to host the event starting August 23rd. This year the ASP moved the event from May to August in hopes of scoring better surf – hopefully scarier surf. There’s nothing like seeing the best surfers in the world get nervous when Teahupoo comes to life. For those of you who can’t wait for the event to kick off, lick your lips with this video of past 10 point rides from the event. There are some pretty nuts barrels.
