Arrived in Puerto without too-much travel drama – just a minor delay in Mexico City. It was announced over the PA that we were stopped on the tarmac because of a fire on the runway in Puerto Escondido. That’s a first. I never knew asphalt to be flammable. Turns out it was just all of the vegetation adjacent to the runway. After being in the heat for a few hours I began to think that the PA announcement was some sort of a foreshadowing metaphor for how hot it is down here at this time of year. It definitely…

Winter is here and so far it hasn’t disappointed. The El Nino weather pattern that we are currently experiencing has helped produce the kind of swell/wind combinations that we all hope for each year.
After the good Fall we’ve experienced it’s hard to believe that Winter, as early into it as we are, has been as good as it has so far. Here’s hoping the new year continues to produce!

So Jamie has been on me to get my first post done, and I really have no excuse for not having done this sooner, so here goes… I have a photo-exhibition during the month of November with an official opening on the 14th of November. Nothing big – just a showing at GrooveGround – my local coffee shop/music store. Ahhh… Nothing like a little shame-less self-promotion to start things off!
