It has been the craziest month of traveling for me. Between heading down to the Caribbean, cruising back to Florida, and a last minute trip to California, I feel so exhausted, but it was worth it! The video project me and Alek Parker are working on is shaping up to be more than we could have ever asked for. In between trips we ventured down to South Beach for the day, which is quite an adventure in itself. Old ladies driving Bentleys on the reg, MTV doing shoots right near us on the beach, walking through clubs to get…

Here’s some freeze frames from middles. Felt weird surfing in trunks and but good to finally thaw out from all the snow Jersey’s been getting this winter. Speaking of snow, the blizzard that just slammed the northeast is suppose to send good swell this way tomorrow for the contest. Hopefully domes can hold the size…we will see

I think it’s safe to say that I spent pretty much all of this winter down in the Caribbean, not that I’m complaining. While I was down there for New Years I was fortunate enough stay with Dylan and brother Josie for 2 weeks of pumping surf and crazy nightlife. We scored so much footage it was hard to keep all of it hush until now. The day before it was time for me to depart to Orlando, Dylan approached me with an idea to make a quick webisode for Skull Candy, being that he was just put on….

So about a month ago, I had one of the more memorable sessions I’ve ever had surfing in New Jersey. It was your classic winter scenario with a south swell pushing up the coast and predicted offshore winds to arrive at first light. For those of you who are unfamiliar, these are the conditions New Jersey surfers dream about. For this swell I remember thinking to myself the night before that the waves were undoubtedly going to be good, but I didn’t think it would be a top 5 day by any means – the swell just wasn’t forecast…

Well I feel like I may be jinxing myself right now, but I’m gonna sacrifice myself for your entertainment. Yeah the water has been 35 degrees for awhile now, and yeah the waves have had flat spells in it. But let me tell you this much, it beats being where I was a couple years ago.
It was October and I was 16, with hopes of having a great winter. After an NSSA (National Scholastic Surfing Association) contest and newly sponsored, I was eager to surf as much as I could. So when I got back into Ocean City,…

I was just down in Puerto Rico working on a new project with Alek Parker. Me and him have both been talking for awhile now about working on something together and everything is finally comming together. Our goal for the project is to document the life of a cold front as it brings harsh weather and surf from the West Coast to the East Coast, and the Caribbean. We plan on showing a very indepth look at these weather systems, and the local surfers of each location that these storms effect the most.
The trip down to Puerto Rico…

Obviously, this has been a brutal winter on a lot of levels. Between snowfall records, freezing cold temperatures, and bouts with relentless offshore winds I have begun to question how I have survived as a surfer in New Jersey. When most people think of surfing they imagine palm trees swaying the breeze, clean blue water, and beaches with scantly clad beach goers littering the shore line – in other words, paradise. But Jersey doesn’t exactly embody that concept. It’s more like old folks swaying in a stiff wind, dirty brown freezing water (temps are in the mid 30′s as…
