This flat spell is getting to be a bit ridiculous, I mean come on already. With not a lot of options and the cold temps making even snowboarding sound terrible we ventured up to the rumored place where the temps are 80 the water is chlorinated and the wave…..well the wave just goes. We went up to Sahara Sam’s waterpark just up route 73 in marlton and we were totally unaware of what awaited for us inside the balmy paradise. We get all paid up and we head over to where is a small blue tarp and a bump….

I’m on the back end of my professional career and Rob Kelly is at the beginning of his. I’ve had the opportunity to watch his whole career progress and now he’s off and running. One thing all these guys are doing is training a lot harder then before and most guys on the tour today have their own trainers….so why shouldn’t we? Enter Brian Wright. He can pretty much do anything on the earth I’m convinced and besides being a general contractor, a musician, a salon owner and epic mullet trimmer, he is also a trainer. The guy basically…

I know what it feels like to miss sessions because of work. Working in a surf shop growing up was kinda like torture as the boys and such were always running down right out front of the store. Now I’m married and surfing a lot still but I’ve been doing some construction for Wright Side Construction and I had to work this am. It;s awesome and a fun job but all day I was thinking how good up north was with the sw winds. Got off early since our material delivery never showed up and got home with about…

I was kiting last week with all the boys and Scott from hyperflex wetsuits was with us. I mentioned I could use a new winter suit and he said he’d hook it up. I mean hook it up to me was giving me a suit maybe. I saw him today at Dunkin Doughnuts and he just gives me a big old box. I got 3 suits a few boots and a few sets of gloves. I swear the coolest thing in this profession is still getting free stuff and Scott really didn;t have to give me multiple suits but…

Here’s a sick clip of all the boys throwing down last winter in PR. We’ve got a lot of great stuff happening and a new team rider to announce hopefully in the next few days as well. Enjoy the clip.

I was in Santa Cruz for the Cold Water Classic and was sick as I’ve ever been. Swine flu kicked my ass on my honeymoon and followed me to the lane. I swear I wouldn’t wish the flu on anyone. I was barely able to paddle let alone surf in my heat. There was an amazing bright spot in the week though. I was so excited to have a chance to get to see the premiere of Modern Collective and in one word it was: FUTURISTIC. The sport is reaching boundaries only once known in video games and in…

October 24th, 2009 was the best day of my life. I got married to my beautiful wife Lauren, and all my friends and family were there to celebrate and share our big day. I’m attaching some pics and hope you enjoy.

a fresh batch of brand new boards. I swear the day could be going to hell in a basket and just flip a full turn around. I got the call that there was some boards at the Delta cargo terminal and my boy Jaques was en route to grab em asap. I got em last night and they are looking sick. Spent about 4 hours painting em, stickering them up and maybe bust em out for a practice session in the next few days with this Noreaster brewing. I got some more of the best drinks in the world…

So the surf has been bad lately. That’s really an understatement but what else is there really to do when your waiting for another swell or just a ridable day? TRAIN. I’ve always been one of those people who has to much energy and has to be doing something to stay occupied. I’m really into training and pushing myself to get in the best shape I can and be fit and ready for anything. I’m not getting any younger and it’s really the only option you have if you want to be productive in this sport and also injury…
