Well, this certainly has been an interesting winter for all of us located on the Eastern seaboard. El Nino has taken charge of all weather patterns in the northern hemisphere, creating massive swells in the Pacific that have hammered Hawaii and the west coast, as well as making for a seriously cold and snowy couple of months in the major metropolitan areas like Philly, DC, and Balitmore. While most “nine-to-fivers” have been complaining about commutes and shoveling snow, I personally have been applauding the work of Mother Nature. If it’s gonna be cold, it might as well snow, right ? I think so. Plus, we’ve had a relatively fruitful winter of waves for the east coast too which always helps.
When the swell eventually fades from a low pressure system that dumps snow in our area there is only one place I want to be. My backyard! While not epic, it certainly produces its share of fun things to do and my brothers and I definitely try to take advantage. Here is the first installment of Moran Mountain with plenty more to come (yeah, there’s still a 30 inch base at the mountain as we speak). So stay tuned!
