Well, after a month of not feeling quit right, I went in and had a sonogram on my left shoulder and neck areas.  They found a clot in my left deep jugular vein and across my chest leading from my left arm to my right ventricle artery.  Kinda serious shit!?  If a piece of the clot had broken off it could cause some serious consequences.  Considering I was just in Mexico paddling my ass of and again at the DRCF Paddle for a cause in early June.  There is a thing called effort thrombosis from repetitive motion: pitchers and…

3rd annual “Paddle For A Cause” Sunday June 6th, 2010

The 3rd annual “Paddle For a Cause”  is this weekend.  The event kicks off around 9am at the wonder bar in Atlantic City.  I’m doing the paddle this year, it will be my first year in the event as I have been beat up from my treatments in the past two prior years.  I’m really excited to paddle with the crew and the dedicated hard core crew that contributed to the first years paddle through surf and wild green head attacks.  I’m making a calling for donations for each mile that I paddle.  Lets raise some money to support…

I love surfing!

The other day I surfed Salt Creek and it was goin off! Head high to a few feet over head and just top to bottom peaky barrels combo swell peaks up and down the beach oh, glassy too! It was one of those sessions were you could stay out all day if you could. Ocean City #10 best surf towns in the U.S.! According to Surfer Mag

Can you believe it?  This is huge!    Ocean City New Jersey came #10!  The new Surfer mag came out today with the top 10 best surf towns in all of the United States.  Santa Cruz came #1, Haliewa Hi. came #2,  Encinitas California was #3 so you can see that there are some great locations in this top ten.  Its all over for the boys up north with the bragging rights, sorry Pt. Pneumonia is the diagnosis they gave me

After weeks of shortness of breath and coughing mostly only when exercising or  surfing things got a little worse.  I became really fatigue and then a few days later started getting chills, fever and sweats.  I went to the ER yesterday and they diagnosed me with pneumonia.  They prescribed me cipro and said I will be fine but to take it easy and to take bed rest.  Oh, and not to surf for a week or two.  Lets see, how many days  does that mean to me?  Probably 3 or 4 we’ll see how the waves are.  I’m feeling…
