luckily in surfing there are many variety of waves and locations. brazilians and kolohe did blow up lowers to pieces making it a very entertaining contest. but I disagree with having to know how to do air reverses to keep up. ( i know i am saying this because i can’t do them, but i have pulled a couple and they made me feel pretty good about myself.) at lowers yes, if you can’t pull a switch rodeo your out, but with waves like teaupoo, pipe, the right, ours, etc. you obviously need balls and ride monster barrels. brian conley probably has not done an air in years and is staying on top as a pro surfer. and the waves were small as shit and were forced maneuvers. last year the final was gabe and davo and i believe not one air was pulled. i do agree they are sick and in small shitty conditions they win events, but their are still waves out there for knox to destroy all brazilians.
