I Went to OZ for True Love…

…and instead I came back with a spotty sunburn, funny pictures, and insane surf . A couple of weeks ago Jamie, Trevor, and I ventured down under to the land of kangaroos. The first part of the trip was spent waking up at 5 am, surfing 2 five hour sessions, and then passing out by 8 pm. Great schedule to maximize the surfing out of the pumping 8 foot superbank. The only problem was that I literally could not keep my eyes open past 8 pm, which kept my search for the goal of finding true love very limited. If you have ever been to the Gold Coast of Australia, you can admit it is home of probably the most attractive ladies. Finding true love here would come with some serious perks… a) citizenship to Australia, b) a way to surf the superbank everyday, and c) a reason for not returning to Jersey! (well at least a reason for not coming back to classes)

Alright, so maybe my goal was a little manipulative and a little unrealistic for a 2 week trip. However, I  did accomplish part B. When we first got there, like I said, the bank was something from a dream. Starting from Snapper, waves were draining down the beach until your legs gave out from exhaustion (or you got dropped in on). Eventually we got off the jet lagged schedule and did venture out a couple nights, but my true love did not present herself.

The returning travel back to Jersey was the only part that reminds me of how far away OZ truly is from here. After a 30 hour return trip, I finally arrived in Philadelphia airport at about 730 am. Not too bad. Oh wait, I have class from 930 am until 5 pm. So, I packed my books and had a full day of classes filled with jet lagged napping.

Trip is always worth it once you get here

Great Scott! When this baby hits 88mph you are gonna see some serious....

Missed a couple spots

And I thought it was just beauty

A shop for those that never find love

A place to call home

Classic Aussie more worried about her looks than causing a 5 car pileup

B-Radical…you needed my company to keep your ass up past 8 pm. Next time, and I will be on the same plan.
